Austullung with Members

Street displays and street contacting where and are my favorite things. I don't know if it was because there was a group of us excising our faith so it just seemed to energize us or if it was because it was that extra support we needed to stop people and talk to them. What ever it was I LOVE them and I wasn't afraid to let everyone know how successful they were.
Our Ward Mission Leader (GML) heard how much we loved them and came up with the idea of inviting the members to join us for one. I was a bit surprised that we had never thought of it before. So we set up a date with the members to have a ward street display. We gathered all our documents and the actual display. We as the missionaries were there early and set it all up excited to start working.
Right before everyone came I got this knot in my stomach, what if it didn't go well. What if the members were yelled at like we were. What if they didn't have a good time like we did. Would this shake someone's faith. I started to worry that we may have rushed into this. Noticing my fear and hearing me out Sister Christopher and I went to a small corner and said a prayer. It is amazing the power of prayer can have. Not only was I instantly calmed but I had this feeling of 'I can do anything'. As the members gathered we explained how it would go gave a quick spiritual thought and said a prayer together (right there on the street).

It was a very cold day but we saw amazing success. We didn't get a lot of numbers or pass out a ton of pamphlets however we did see the faith and love of the members grow with each person they stopped. That Sunday as the members got up to bear their testimonies they each testified of the work of the Lord and how Freiburg was an area ready to hear the gospel. It was a beautiful sacrament meeting.
